Micro Fluidic Technology
Say hello to hydromechanical horology courtesy of the HYT H0! One of the most technology forward brands seeks to revolutionize the form of liquid in the world of horology. The H0 blends modern scientific advances in liquid technologies with a back to basics design approach from HYT. The green and black color schemes are instantly recognizable iconic colors of the brand while one can see the influence of Marc Neusom’s Ikepod in smooth soft lines rounding out the three dimensional cylindrical case. So how does it work you ask?! The basic principles of HYT’s technology calibrates time with the help of two bellows positioned at 6’oclock that store and push two viscous liquids, one clear and one green and the different viscosity levels allow for a separation of the liquids. The H0 indicates the hour where the green meets the clear liquid and the minute with the traditional minutes sub-dial in the heat of the dial.
This is one badass looking watch! It’s extremely comfortable to wear as it is sized down from HYT’s bigger H1 and H2 models and features some really cool technology that is part of HYT’s much improved second generation calibers.

From the Source
Time is fluid.
HYT was born of a question. Time flows and only gains meaning through content. So why limit its measurement to indicating the now in splendid isolation, with needle-sharp hands or fleeting digital displays? Determined that its rebellion should make statements and waves, a multi-disciplinary think-tank set out to create timepieces that visibly connect the past, present & future. The HYT answer is a watch that overcomes the force of gravity to indicate the passage of time with liquids. Highly advanced technology took its cue from philosophy to mirror time's intrinsic fluidity.
The rest is history. To be precise, it’s history that began 3,400 years ago with the Clepsydras, or water clocks, of the Pharaohs. These so-called “water thieves” transported H2O from one container to another to measure elapsed or “stolen” time. This meaningful visualization of the transition of time seemingly disappeared until 2012 when HYT broke new scientific ground. Inventing a wristwatch integrating a patented fluidic module. A colored liquid documents the recent past; a transparent fluid indicates the foreseeable future. Their meeting point is a meniscus, AKA the now.
