Like all things De Bethune, the brand comes at the perpetual calendar complication with state-of-the-art design and engineering. With the in-house calibre DB2324 movement, you’ll find a silicon escapement, titanium and white gold balance wheel for maximum efficiency, as well as the brand’s patented triple-parachute shock-absorption system. Here, the traditional perpetual calendar complication is converted into a modern masterpiece. And it’s never mechanically innovative at the cost of being aesthetically beautiful – one of the things that makes De Bethune exceptional as an indie.
As you would expect, both sides of the timepiece are marvelously finished – mirror-polishing, bluing, and snailing galore! Each characteristic of the brand’s high quality work, you’ll also find one of De Bethune’s more recent, popular motifs: blued titanium starry sky date subdial as well as blued meteorite moonphase subdial. At 43mm in diameter and 13.4mm thick, it’s mechanically innovative, aesthetically beautiful, wears comfortably, and can slide under a cuff.
