Chopard L.U.C Lunar One in Rose Gold

$102,000

Here’s the thing about Chopard that has flown under the radar over the last few years, the brand’s Geneva and Fleurier workshops are creating some spectacular complicated timepieces. We’ve seen everything from COSC-certified tourbillon sport watches to the pinnacle of chiming complications pass through the Manufacture. The entire Chopard L.U.C catalog is stocked with ultra-fine watches from time-only to ultra-complicated. We’re thrilled to present another complicated timepiece from Chopard L.U.C – the Lunar One in rose gold.

This latest generation of the Lunar One demonstrates just how far Chopard has refined its approach to high complications. The watch appears familiar at first glance, yet nearly every element has been redesigned for greater elegance and clarity. The 40.5mm case in ethical 18k rose gold adopts the brand’s new “bassine” profile – rounded, finely stepped, and noticeably slimmer than its predecessors. This creates a timepiece that is dressier, more classical in sensibility to what has historically been one of L.U.C’s most technical creations.

The deep blue dial is a highlight in its own right. Handmade guilloché with a radiating sunburst pattern centered on the moon-phase display, it reinforces the astronomical identity of the complication while giving the entire watch an elevated sense of depth and texture. Chopard’s signature big date sits proudly at 12 o’clock, balanced by the remarkable orbital moon-phase at six. The perpetual calendar is arranged symmetrically around the dial with day, month, small seconds, and leap-year indications. Often the Achilles heel of perpetual calendars, legibility is excellent thanks to careful spacing and applied rose-gold details. Contrast is king here.

Inside beats the L.U.C 96.13-L, an automatic calibre equipped with a 22k gold micro-rotor and the maison’s two-barrel system, providing a 65-hour power reserve and rock-steady power distribution for chronometric performance. True to L.U.C standards, the movement bears both COSC certification and the Poinçon de Genève (Geneva Seal), underscoring its precision and finishing quality. Complicated watchmaking at its finest, Chopard continues to establish itself as one of the most capable brands in the industry across watchmaking and the metiers d’art
