Chopard Alpine Eagle Flying Tourbillon, Light Blue

In 1980, Chopard launched its first sports watch – the St. Moritz. Imagined and led by Karl-Friedrich Scheufele, he was a young man in his early 20’s when he pushed for the first stainless steel timepiece in the brand’s catalog. Fast forward nearly 40 years, the next generation in the family reimagines the St. Moritz by introducing the Alpine Eagle in 2019. Karl-Fritz Scheufele, the fourth generation at Chopard, led the all-new modernized interpretation of the brand’s sports watch. Beloved by collectors since its launch, we have the privilege of offering an all-new Alpine Eagle Flying Tourbillon with light blue guilloché dial.

The latest Alpine Eagle Flying Tourbillon builds on the collection’s established blend of sportiness and haute horlogerie, elevating it with a striking new light-blue guilloché dial. Crafted from Chopard’s Lucent Steel™, the 41 mm case retains the slim, elegant profile that has become a hallmark of the line, measuring just over 8 mm thick despite housing one of the brand’s most technically sophisticated movements. The radiating dial pattern, evocative of an eagle’s iris, takes on a fresher, more contemporary character in this light blue tone, enhancing the interplay of light across its stamped, gold-based surface. At six o’clock, the flying tourbillon appears suspended within the dial, unobstructed by an upper bridge. This mechanism not only functions as the watch’s regulating organ but also serves as a small-seconds display, adding a dynamic focal point to the composition.

Inside beats the L.U.C 96.24-L, an ultra-thin automatic calibre equipped with a 22-carat micro-rotor and Chopard’s Twin barrel system with its 65-hour power reserve. True to the Manufacture’s highest standards, the movement carries both COSC chronometer certification and the Poinçon de Genève (Geneva Seal) – both rare distinctions in a modern steel sports watch. An integrated bracelet completes the aesthetic, combining refined finishing with reassuring robustness. Altogether, this newest Alpine Eagle Flying Tourbillon exemplifies the lineage’s evolution: a watch that captures the Alpine spirit through texture, precision, and clarity, while asserting Chopard’s commitment to crafting ultra-complication timepieces like the Grand Strike recently revealed at Dubai Watch Week 2025
