In 2014 Arnold and Son celebrated its 250th anniversary with the launch of the incredible Double Tourbillon Escapement (DTE). The DTE provided for a dual dial/ dual time watch with two independent gear trains allowing to set the time on each dial to the exact minute.
John Arnold, the founder of Arnold and Son, can easily be considered the father of modern marine timekeeping. Arnold also collaborated with Abraham-Louis Breguet as Breguet’s first ever tourbillon cage (No 169) was mounted in John Arnold’s No. 11 movement.
