This year’s BaselWorld played host to the debut of Emmanuel Bouchet’s latest creation: Complication One Blue
In just over a year, Emmanuel Bouchet gained the recognition of collectors and critics alike with the release of Complication One, the first piece by Mr. Bouchet under his official brand. Complication One earned Emmanuel Bouchet a nomination for the top six in the GPHG’s Mechanical Exception category in Geneva, coinciding with the one year anniversary of the brand.
Complication One Blue reimagines an original and artistic alternative to the Complication One collection.
The blue PVD can only give such a level of gloss if the initial base stages of production are perfect. In order to achieve a crisp continual coloration, the initial case must be flawless. Emmanuel Bouchet takes a perfectly finished, immaculate white gold case and applies a blue PVD treatment.
Caliber EB-1963 powers the Complication One collection. This caliber, created by Mr. Bouchet, is a mechanical, hand-wound movement composed of 485 parts developed exclusively for the Complication One collection and is entirely made in Switzerland.
The escapement in Complication One is not only a regulatory organ but is also a world first in terms of both the mechanism and its function. In fact, it directly powers the display of time featuring jumping hours at the 8’ position, jumping retrograde minutes and tens of minutes at 4’ position along with seconds and day/night indicator at the 12' position.
Complication One Blue is a limited edition of 10 pieces world wide and joins the core collection of titanium ADLC, rose gold and white gold.
Retail Price: $115,000
